Battle of Grunwald – 2010 medieval re-enactment photos, part I

On 16 July 2011 the 601th anniversary celebrations will take place.

Until then watch the first part of unpublished, editorial photos from the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Grunwald 1410.
Living history  re-enactment  took place in Poland on July 2010. About 6000 reenactors, 2200 knights, near 200 thousands of spectators…

The day before the main battle event. ‘Warming up’ in the ‘bohurt’, a real  knights fight, real heavy armors and weapons.

Daily life of medieval village, building a camp

Shooting with a whip, medieval re-enactors practicing their skills

Young medieval Page helping his Knight

Medieval decapitation… some have to be rewarded and some have to be punished

Fashion in Middle Ages, reenactors dressed up in costumes from the era

Maybe with one exception… (not a reenactor actually)
